had the best time yesterday.i went over to visit the lovely miss mel and we made felt bags.
this of course is going to start another obsession.i had to stop making bunnies cause....well...easter is kind of over.and how many bunnies does a person need.and i have such bad seperation anxiety i will never be able to part with any of them.
but bags are so different.i will be able to make heaps and pass them on to friends.....
so i have just spent a couple of hours designing diferent styles..lol
stay tuned for more bags..any day now.

back again

a bit long between posts>>>"blush"
where would i be without good friends to remind me to get something done.
but in my defence i have been sooooo busy.i thought quitting my job would give me so much free time...not so
first there was mum and dad staying with us for the wedding...then i had to get one ready for a scout regatta and then take her all the way to st helens.such a long drive i stayed too.
then getting the other one ready for school camp.peice of cake you say.they were going to maria island.the rules were..no fresh meat,no fresh milk and only food that you bring and cook for yourself.it was only for 2 nights and it would have been so easy if i could have packed him a few cans of baked beans and some 2 minute noodles like all the other kids were taking.but i have one of the few kids that won't eat that.and he didn't want to take any sort of stove(we are not a good camping family...lol)so i had to work out what we could freeze that wouldn't defrost too soon and give him food poisoning.and it had to be something he would eat and could eat cold.thank goodness for our family chicken pasties.he lived on them.
after all that we had the arrival of risaki...our japanese homestay student.so little english and so much time to be dragged around hobart landmarks.of course the upside was that i have now seen a few places that i hadn't before.fortunately she was very patient with me taking her photo every three seconds.she didn't even mind be dragged to salamanca market a second time as the first visit(when i took all those wonderful photos)i forgot to check my memory card and as you can probably guess i didn't have it in the camera.to make matters worse,i reached for my mobile to ring gustavo and ask him to bring me in a card...but my mobile had the bad manners to be home on the charger.the first picture is our lovely risaki.we amde her a lovely mini album to take home with her.i am not sure what she thought of it..i am fairly certain that scrapping isn't big in japan ...yet!
no sooner was it time for risaki to go home than it was time for mollie to go on school camp.this was a much easier one to pack for.lol.after the regatta and matts camp we are pros at this.mollie can even get the sleeping bag back in it's cover now.
then of course it was easter and my sister-in-law and nephew came over to visit.so off we go again playing show and tell hobart.we even took william(nephew)across on the bruny island ferry and fished off the docks.picture 2 shows the motely crew fishing.
now all i have to get through is the last of the easter break,my parents going to adelaide for an 80th party(i'm taking care of their dog)and the beginning of soccer season.just to keep me on my toes i have to also add in the facts that i have joined a gym(giving up smoking i gained about 7-8 kilos)and become an ambasssador for fiskars.i have already recieved my first parcel of goodies and can't wait to get into them .
pictures 3 and 4 are mini moopy bunnies????say what!!!!!i saw them on mel and fiona's blogs and thought they were adorable.well...i just had to make my own..so 4 bunnies later here they are.miss mollie came up with the idea for the rainbow bunnies and she even made her own.and they really were fun to make.what i didn't realise from the other blogs was that they were much larger than the baby ones we made.oh well!i still love them and we plan on making more.
i think i will sign of here as i am falling asleep at the keyboard.
bye for now

three things i love

what a lovely idea miss melissa had of putting three lovely photos when she blogs.

we have just had a busy week with a family wedding and my parents moving in with us(and bringing their BIG dog)for 8 days so they could offer their house to a cousin and her family.

the wedding was lovely and my cousins daughter was the flower girl.although it was a wet, soggy day for a garden wedding, the sun came out just as the bride started to walk down the isle(cobble stone path)
i absolutely love thunderstorms and now that i have a half decent camera i will be able to attempt photographing the lightning but nothing will ever come close to this shot a friends brother took of a recent thunderstorm in hobart.of course as i am so computer illiterate the thunderstorm is at the top of the page but i am so envious of this shot.

last but by no means least...every flower girl should have a litttle brother like this.owen is an absolute crack up and kept me amused for hours.he is such a boy with his bruise and stick.i couldn't resist taking heaps of photos of him.his picture of course is above the thunderstorm(where else would it go).so if anyone has any suggestions for fixing this please let me know.
bye for now

they really are pink

another favourite lo.also finding it much easier to add only one pic at a time.

these are the pink dolphins at singapore's sentosa island.they really do have a soft pink skin on their snouts and underbellies.
mollie was lucky to be chosen to meet them.so ,fully dressed, she went into the water.
luckily for us it was a warm day.
